Our Story
GeoNumerix was founded by Dr. Sajjad Fayyazi, a seasoned geotechnical engineer with over 12 years of experience. Our team comprises passionate professionals who excel in numerical modeling, seismic risk assessment, and static problem-solving. Our core values drive us to tackle every project with precision, creativity, and a commitment to engineering excellence. We offer geotechnical engineering assessment and simulations for wide range of complex infrastructure projects like dams, marine terminals, bridges, and tunnels. Meet Our Founder and Director
Sajjad Fayyazi, Ph.D., P.Eng.
Dr. Fayyazi holds a Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, complemented by a Master’s in Structural Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. His extensive background includes managing multi-million-dollar projects across Canada and the US, specializing in site investigation, seismic evaluation, numerical modeling, and construction.
Dr. Fayyazi has been at the forefront of 2D and 3D numerical modeling for geotechnical earthquake engineering, developing innovative solutions for complex ground conditions. His notable projects include the stability evaluation of submerged marine mine waste dumps, seismic assessments for major infrastructure like the Cambie-Richmond Water Supply Tunnel, and extensive work on marine terminal expansions. His practical insights from site inspections and his roles as project engineer and project manager ensure that every project GeoNumerix undertakes is grounded in resilience and cost-effectiveness.
